Mary Sharon Moore

Oregon Interfaith Hub’s Interim Board president Mary Sharon Moore has a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Franciscan School of Theology at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley.

Her interfaith work is inspired by the 1986 gathering of interfaith leaders, led by Pope John Paul II, at the church in Assisi, Italy, where leaders of the world’s religions gathered to pray for world peace, international justice, and preservation of Mother Earth.

Mary Sharon believes that this same powerful spiritual work is needed today, not only on the world stage but in local communities, where peace, justice, and care for Creation matter more now than ever before.

Mary Sharon is a writer, speaker, and spoken-word recording artist. She is active within Eugene’s Catholic community.
